Instructions On How To Use The Ab Roller - Workout Benches
I bought an ab swing or roller (not sure correct name) from a market for a bargain of $3 lol. It didnt come with instructions. It is the blue foam one with the padded square on it. I am wondering if anyone could tell me how to put it together and how to actually use it cause my neck hurts when I try and “sit up”. Can anyone help?? Tummy desperately needing to be lost!
If you can give a little more detailed description I can help more, but I can’t really picture it right now.
The two things I can think it might be:
An ab wheel/roller. This would be basically a wheel with handles sticking out the side. The way you use this is to start in a push-up position (knees can be down) and slowly slide the wheel forward into a full extension. If your neck hurts doing this, you need to make sure you keep your head in a neutral position (looking strait down at the floor).
An ab rocker/roller (that’s what I call ‘em, anyway). This is the device that you lay down on the padded headrest. Your hands will be above you on a metal frame, and you use it to do crunches. If your neck hurts using this you need to make sure you have your head on the rest and do not strain your neck to keep your head up (that’s what the rest is for). While there are handles for your hands, you only want to lightly place your hands there to support the frame, not to do the exercise. The trick with an ab rocker is to slowly use your abs to pull your body up a few inches, then slowly back to the start position.
