He was the person I always want to write about. His name was Junpeng Chen and an important thing is, he lived under the shadow of Chinese education. His grades were not good enough to keep the teacher happy. He was the lowest level student in the teacher�s mind. Whatever. He was a genius at drawing. He could draw the thing he just saw once; his drawings were so perfect even better than teacher�s, and he just learned drawing himself. I had read a sentence in a magazine: God is fair; He gives some talents when everybody is born. I thought Junpeng�s talent was drawing. However, the good art did not change the teachers� thoughts of him. Because Chinese teachers divided the classes into two parts: important classes and unimportant classes. Chinese, English, math and science are important classes; History, P.E, and art are unimportant classes. If you were good in unimportant classes and bad in important classes, the teacher would make you do more homework, leaving you no time to go the unimportant class. They also told your mother to give you punishments. How horrible that sounds. Oh! Poor boy. Every time he did one thing wrong, the teacher would call him to office and the things coming to the poor boy were punching and kicking; the teacher liked to push him until he had cried. The thing makes me angry was the Chinese teacher told the art teacher to make a false grade for Junpeng. When I watch The Simpsons, I always thought Junpeng just like Ralph; the son of the policeman, sometimes he was really stupid but sometimes he did a very good job on something. Once, a girl and I tried to help Junpeng, and tried talk to the teacher. But it still could not help my poor friend about it. Don�t give up your talents. The last time I saw him was two years back. He could not draw any picture that time; he just forgot how to draw. The only thing he could do was homework, class work and the work his parents gave him. Oh! He was the king of art when he was young, and he became the slave of working a little time later. How poor he was! How rigid Chinese education was! The New York Jets. A great football team. You would think with head coach Rex Ryan and second year quarterback Mark Sanchez nothing could go wrong. You would be mistaken. Before Rex Ryan became head coach in 2009 the Jets�s reputation suffered greatly. Their performance was less than stellar, earning them a low-ranking position in the NFL.
